Introduction

This map, from the collection of Dr. Bernhard Bardach, shows the theater of operations on the Eastern front. Dr. Bardach drew in the movement of the Central Powers eastwards and then returning to the West. The red lines on the map indicate military advances, and the blue lines indicate military retreats.
