Max Liebermann, The Cabbage Field
Max Liebermann was Germany’s answer to French impressionism – an artist of great prominence, head of the Prussian Art Academy and widely collected by art patrons throughout Europe. He resigned the presidency of the Academy when the Nazis came to power.
