Photographs of Albert Einstein from the LBI Photograph Collection

The year 2005 marks the centenary of three decisive papers published by Albert Einstein. In honor of this significant anniversary, the Leo Baeck Institute has prepared this small online exhibition of photographs from the Albert Einstein Collection. The images below offer a glimpse into the diversity and richness of the over 500 photographs which make up that collection, and which are part of the LBI's Photograph Collection.

Leading up to this centenary, the LBI has been contacted by a large number of institutions, museums, magazines, and individuals looking for images to illustrate their exhibitions, documentaries, articles and other publications. To view more images and to learn more about Albert Einstein and his accomplishments, please visit the online exhibit of the American Museum of Natural History (photographs and objects from the LBI's collections are part of the traveling exhibit).
