This exhibition showcases materials that have recently found a
home at the LBI, thanks to the generosity of donors whose
gifts highlight the rich mosaic that is German-Jewish culture.
These new treasures include a wide array of donations, from
photos to oil paintings and a large number of portraits. The
exhibition also features some very rare books and unique
objects never shown before.
The selection of objects is representative of the culture of
German-speaking Jewry in Central Europe as catalogued at the
Leo Baeck Institute for the past fifty-one years.
