LBI Usage Fees

In addition to reproduction fees, usage fees apply to all items from the LBI collections used in any kind of publication or display. To request permission for use or reproduction of any item from the LBI collections and for details on usage fees, please contact Photo Archivist and Registrar Miriam Intrator mintrator@lbi.cjh.org.

  1. Display in exhibitions
A. Commercial $100.00
B. Non-profit $25.00
 
2. Display online

*Image may not be over 72dpi and credit to the Leo Baeck Institute, New York must accompany each use
A. Commercial $200.00
B. Non-profit $50.00
 
3. Publications

"Publication" includes all media formats including printed, e.g. books, journals, etc., electronic formats, e.g. CD-ROMs and DVDs

A. Less than 10,000 copies $100.00 $150.00
B. More than 10,000 copies $200.00 $250.00
Cover
C. Less than 10,000 copies $200.00 $400.00
D. More than 10,000 copies $300.00 $600.00

4. Short Publications
"Short Publications" includes publications under ten pages in length such as flyers, brochures, pamphlets, brief newsletters, promotional or invitational bookmarks, cards, etc.
Commercial Use    
A. Less than 10,000 copies $50.00  
B. More than 10,000 copies $100.00  
 
Non-Profit Use
   
  A. Less than 10,000 copies $25.00  
  B. More than 10,000 copies $50.00  
 
5. Moving Image Format
"Moving Image Format" includes all television programs, documentaries, films, video and DVD releases
Commercial Use    
A. Film, Network and Cable $150.00  
B. Multi Media or Multi Year Project $300.00  
 
Non-Profit Use
   
  A. Film, Local or Public Television $50.00  
  B. Multi Media or Multi Year Project $150.00  

6. Commercial Product
"Commercial Product" includes bookmarks, postcards, magnets, and any other items created for resale purposes
Commercial Use $200.00 per print run of 1,000
Non-Profit Use $100.00 per print run of 1,000
