Baumgardt and Halbers Fellowship Applications Due in November

Leo Baeck Institute supports new research on German-Jewish culture and history through the following fellowships.  Ph.D. candidates and academics working on topics related to the German-Jewish community in a variety of disciplines are encouraged to apply. Fellowships with upcoming deadlines

  • David Baumgardt Memorial Fellowship—research grant for academics whose work is connected with the writings of Professor David Baumgardt or his scholarly interests, including Ethics, Wissenschaft des Judentums and the Modern Intellectual History of German-speaking Jewry, applications due in November.
  • Fritz Halbers Fellowship—project support for Ph.D. candidates whose research is connected with the culture and history of German-speaking Jewry, applications due in November.
