Biographical Information

Leopold Zunz (1794-1886) was a Jewish historian and co-founder of the Wissenschaft des Judentums 1819. Wissenschaft des Judentums was a movement for the academic study of Jewish texts and culture. He was a favorite pupil and later friend of Samuel Ehrenberg.

The lithographer Carl Fischer was mainly active between 1830 and 1860.
