Biographical Information

Auguste Fränkel was born in Neustadt (then in Germany) on June 28, 1838. Her father owned a textile factory in Neustadt, one of the largest producers of fine linens in the world. She had five children with her husband Joseph. Auguste died in Neustadt in 1909.

Joseph or Josef Pinkus was born in Neisse (then in Germany) on October 26, 1829. Joseph Pinkus became a partner in the textile manufacturng firm S. Fränkel when he married Auguste Fränkel. They had five children. Joseph died in Neustadt on January 8, 1909.
