Siegfried Laboschin was a painter and draftsman born in Gnesen (Silesia, Poland) in 1868. After his graduation from the art academy of Berlin, he traveled extensively in Holland, Italy, and Hungary. Laboschin's paintings are mostlylandscapes and still lifes, and his drawings and etchings often depict cities as well as scenes from Jewish life. He settled in Breslau, where he died in 1925.
