Biographical/Historical Information
Rabbi Alfred Gottschalk was born in Oberwesel, Germany in 1930. He escaped Nazi-Germany in 1939, and he became one of the leaders of Reform Judaism in the United States, specifically while serving in various functions at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion (HUC). Alfred Gottschalk died in Cincinnati, OH in 2009.
