Biographical Information

Jacques Bunimowitsch was a German portrait painter, born in Wilna in 1859. He studied in Berlin under Anton von Werner from 1876-1879, and in Vienna under Christian Griepenkerl for two years in 1882. He also studied abroad in Paris at the École des Beaux-Arts between 1885 and 1887 before settling in Frankfurt am Main in 1888.
