Biographical/Historical Information

Saul Lewin (1916- ), a native of Stockholm, Sweden, came to the United States in the late 1930s. He studied art with Anton Refriegier from 1939-1940 and graduated from the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn in 1943. It seems that he did not pursue an art career after his initial studies until much later in life, presumably after his retirement. His work was shown in 1989 and 1993 at the Summer Salon in Vastervik, Sweden and in various other venues in Stockholm.
