Summary
Silver Kiddush cup with German text surrounded by an oak branch and another branch, tied together with a bow. The cup is pressed and engraved. At the top of the cover is a tilted Judenhut, or Jewish cap. The base of the cup features reeding. A decorative motif is featured in four registers on the cover, cup, and foot. The cup screws into the stand, making the two parts easily separable.
Inscription: "Ihrem hochgeehrten Herrn Amtsrichter Arnold Kalischer in Dankbarkeit gewidmet von den Mitgliedern der Synagogen Gemeinde Schwiebus, den 1. Juli 1892."
Kiddush cups hold wine, which are blessed during Shabbat and holidays.
