Biographical/Historical Information

Menorahs are candelabra with seven branches, modeled after what was used in the ancient temple in Jerusalem, and are often displayed symbolically. The central cup is slightly elevated (to represent the Sabbath). These differ from eight-arm Hannukah lamps (also referred to as Hanukkiahs or Hanukkah menorahs).
