Biographical Information

Jacob Plessner (1871-1936) was a German sculptor active mainly in Berlin. He studied under Kurt Westphal between 1896 and 1901 at the Art Academy in Berlin.

Moses Mendelssohn (1729-1786) was a prominent German-Jewish philosopher during the Enlightenment. He supported the movement for Jews to assimilate to the German bourgeoisie.
