Johannes Reuchlin (sometimes Johann) (29 January 1455 - 30 June 1522) was a German humanist and a scholar of Greek and Hebrew. For much of his life, he was at the center of all Greek and Hebrew teaching in Germany. Reuchlin engaged in a long running pamphleteering battle with the anti-Semtic writer Johannes Pfefferkorn.
