Biographical/Historical Information
The neoclassical synagogue was built on Kottbusser Ufer (later Fraenkelufer) in Berlin in 1926. It was destroyed during Kristallnacht.
The synagogue in the street “Kottbusser Ufer“ in Berlin’s Kreuzberg district was designed in a neo-Classical style by Alexander Beer and inaugurated in 1916. It was gutted and badly damaged during Kristallnacht.
