Biographical/Historical Information
The violinist and teacher Issay Barmas (1872–1946) was born in Odessa and studied in Moscow and in Berlin. He made his debut as a soloist in Berlin in 1899 and toured Europe. Issay taught at conservatoires in Berlin before moving to London.
