Biographical/Historical Information
Orthodox Rabbi Raphael Breuer was born in Pápa in 1881, the son of Solomon Breuer and a grandson of Samson Raphael Hirsch. From 1909 on, Breuer was Distriktsrabbiner in Aschaffenburg. His writings concentrated on translations and commentaries of the Bible, and on his stern anti-Zionism. Rabbi Raphael Breuer died in Aschaffenburg in 1932.
