Biographical/Historical Information
Rabbi Dr. Nehemiah Brüll was born in Neu Rausnitz, Moravia (Rousínov, Czech Republic) in 1843. He enjoyed academic as well as rabbinic education in Vienna and other places. Concentrating on his scholarly work, he was a strong supporter of the Jewish reform movement of his time, specifically in opposition to the neo-orthodox school of Samson Raphael Hirsch at Frankfurt/M. Nehemiah Brüll died in Frankfurt in 1891.
