Biographical/Historical Information

The philosopher and classics scholar Heinrich Gomperz was born in Vienna in 1873, son of the philosopher and historian Theodor Gomperz (1832-1912). Heinrich Gomperz escaped the Nazi regime in 1938, and he died in Los Angeles in 1942. Heinrich Gomperz is also known as a patient of Sigmund Freud.
