The composer, singer and lawyer, Max Kowalski (born in Poland in 1882) grew up in Germany and worked as a lawyer in Frankfurt/M, where he also sang and composed and had his works published. He escaped Nazi Germany in 1939 to England, where he could not resume his musical career anymore. Max Kowalski died in London in 1956.
