Biographical/Historical Information

The author and journalist Monty (Montague) Jacobs was born in Stettin in 1875, the son of a British father. Monty Jacobs worked as a theater critic for the "Berliner Morgenpost", the "Berliner Tageblatt", and the "Vossische Zeitung". He was dismissed in 1934 and emigrated to Great Britain in 1938. Monty Jacobs died in London in 1945.
