Biographical/Historical Information
The pianist and composer Salomon Jadassohn was born 1831 and grew up in Breslau. He enrolled at the Leipzig Conservatory in 1848, studying and eventually teaching piano and composition. He composed more than 140 works, including symphonies, serenades for orchestra, piano concertos, lieder, sonatas, an opera, and chamber music that were all performed throughout his lifetime. Salomon Jadassohn died in 1902.
