Biographical/Historical Information

The Jewish congregation in the town of Dieburg in Hessen established its first synagogue in modern times in a patrician house on the town’s main square in 1869. The building that also accommodated a flat for the congregation’s teacher was replaced in 1929 with a new synagogue.
