Biographical/Historical Information
The author and lawyer Martin Beradt was born in Magdeburg in 1881. Throughout his life in Berlin he was active in his law office while publishing novels and essays, such as his analysis of German justice in “Der deutsche Richter”. Beradt emigrated to London in 1939 and then to New York in 1940. Martin Beradt died in New York in 1949.
