Biographical/Historical Information
Siegfried Ziegler was born in Munich in 1894. He studied painting under Angelo Jank at the Munich Academy. He was awarded the Prix de Rome, an art scholarship, out of 200 applicants. This allowed him to paint after World War I. His works mostly consisted of landscapes, cityscapes, and portraits.
