Biographical/Historical Information
The “Türkische Tempel” in Vienna’s 2nd District, Leopodstadt was the neo-Moorish synagogue of Vienna’s Sephardic community. It was designed by Hugo von Wiedenfeld, consecrated in 1887, and destroyed during Kristallnacht.
