Biographical/Historical Information

The German poet and author, Manfred Sturmann was born in Koenigsberg (East Prussia) in 1903 and came to some fame with his poetry and short stories in Munich in the 1920s. He emigrated to Palestine in 1938, continuing his career as an "Israeli poet in the German language." Manfred Sturmann died in Jerusalem in 1989.
