Biographical/Historical Information
The tenor, opera singer, and actor Richard Tauber (born in Linz, Austria, as Richard Denemy) had a highly successful career in operettas and in contemporary popular music in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland, as well as in England, where he settled because of his partial Jewish heritage after 1938.
The film actress Lee Parry (born in Munich as Mathilde Charlotte Benz) starred in more than 40 films between 1919 and 1939.
