Marion Koegel was a Polish-born singer who performed in the United States under the name of Marion Corda. She had studied music in Berlin and been a member of the Jüdischer Kulturbund, where she performed popular and folk songs. In 1941 she married Warner S. Bass who was a composer, conductor, and accompanist.
