Biographical/Historical Information

Isidor Caro, the last rabbi of Cologne before the Holocaust, was born in Znin, Posen on October 6, 1876. He was deported to Theresienstadt in June 1942, where he died on August 28, 1943. His wife Klara organized cultural activities in Theresienstadt and immigrated to the USA after her liberation.
