Biographical/Historical Information

The teacher and historian Ludwig Oelsner was born in Silesia in 1831. After studies in Breslau and in Berlin (with Leopold Ranke), Oelsner taught at the school ‘Philantropin’ in Frankfurt and at other high schools. Ludwig Oelsner died in Frankfurt/M. in 1910.
