Biographical/Historical Information

Rabbi Dr. Felix Goldmann was born in London in 1882, but he grew up in Berlin. He served as rabbi in the Jewish community in Opeln, Silesia (Opole, Poland), before moving to Leipzig in 1917. A writer and scholar, he was regarded as one of the outstanding leaders of liberal Jewry in Germany. Felix Goldmann died in Leipzig in 1934.
