Biographical/Historical Information

Friedenstempel (Temple of Peace) was a privately built synagogue in a modern, neo-classicist style, dedicated in 1923 and destroyed during Kristallnacht.

Louis Lewandowski was cantor and music director at the Friedenstempel from 1923 to 1938.
