Biographical/Historical Information

German rabbi and author, Isaac Rülf was born on Feb. 10, 1834, in Holzhausen, near Marburg in Hessen. Educated at the universities of Marburg and Rostock (Ph.D. 1865), he became the rabbi at the district synagogue of Memel. Rabbi Rülf died in Bonn on Sept. 19, 1902.
