Biographical/Historical Information

Marie Curie, 1867-1934. Physicist, Nobel Prize winner. With her husband, Pierre Curie (1859 – 1906), she discovered the elements radium and polonium and launched the study of modern physics.

Ève Curie, 1904-2007. Writer, concert pianist, journalist, lecturer, diplomat. Daughter of Pierre and Marie Curie.

Irène Joliot-Curie, 1897-1956. French chemist and Nobel Prize winner. Daughter of Pierre and Marie Curie.

Hans Albert Einstein, 1904-1973. Engineer. Son of Albert Einstein.
