Biographical/Historical Information
The Worms synagogue, also known as “Rashi Shul”, was first built in 1034. It was damaged and repaired repeatedly throughout the centuries, until it was completely destroyed in 1938. The Worms synagogue was reconstructed in its original Romanesque style in 1961.
