    Two lions standing on the semblance of a loaf of bread hold a shape similar to the Star of David with the Tablets of the Law. Two cherubs stand on clouds above each lion, holding up a crown with Hebrew text in honor of Sabbath below. The grey clouds connecting the lions create a full circle, mirroring the shape of the crown at the top.

Biographical/Historical Information

This table covering was used during Kiddush. It belonged to Dr. Samuel Mühsam (1837-1907) in Graz, Chief Rabbi of Styria, Carinthia, Krain, Istria, and Dalmatia.
