Biographical/Historical Information
Siegfried Laboschin was born in Gnesen (Now Gniezno, Poland) in 1868. He studied on the Berliner Kunstakademie from 1887-1889 under Anton von Werner, and then the Munich Kunstakademie under Fritz Fehr and Hugo von Habermann from 1889-1991. He spent his career in Breslau (now Wroclaw, Poland), where he painted and made prints, typically of genres scenes, landscapes and still lifes. He was also in charge of the art section of the Breslauer Zeitung.
