Biographical/Historical Information

Max Busyn was a Polish-Israeli painter and graphic artist. Born 1899 in Lodz, he studied from the years 1922-1923 at Art Academy of Dresden. He then lived in Berlin 1929-1933, where he created murals for the Jewish seniors' home. Busyn eventually emigrated to Palestine. Busyn's works in the collection of the Jewish Museum in Berlin have been lost since World War II. Busyn's art is influenced by Otto Dix.
