Biographical/Historical Information

The Jewish National Fund (or Keren Kayemet LeYisrael) was founded in 1901 to buy and develop land in Ottoman Palestine, now Israel, for Jewish settlement. The organization plants trees, builds dams and reservoirs, in addition to development.
