Biographical/Historical Information

Arnold Zadikow was a German-Jewish mason and master builder who later became a sculptor. He mainly worked with silver, stone, glass, and other metals. He trained in Munich and was a pupil of Heinrich Wadere. He died in 1943 at Theresienstadt. The overwhelming majority of his works were destroyed by the Nazis in 1942, a number of small pieces were kept hidden until after the war and then ended up in private collections.
