Biographical/Historical Information
The enemies of democracy - these are the mostly uniformed and always terrorist National Socialists and the Communists, who after the banning of the "Red Front Fighters' League" (1929) appear more threatening because of their support in Soviet Russia (Red Army cap). The figure in the background probably means less the "Stahlhelm - Bund der Frontkämpfer"; it vaguely evokes militarism and war.
