As Germany recovered during the post-war era, travel abroad became a matter of course. The slogan on the poster about the smell of the “big wide world” is an expression of what West Germans appreciated around 1960, far beyond the context of cigarette advertising.
Fritz Bühler (1909–1963) was a Swiss graphic designer.
