Biographical/Historical Information

The Deutsch-Völkischer Schutz- und Trutzbund (German ethno-national federation for protection and defiance) was founded in 1920 as part of the völkisch (or German ethno-national) movement. After Walther Rathenau's assassination in 1922, the organization was banned as a threat to the state. The poster contains propagandistic falsehoods about Jews in history.
