Biographical/Historical Information
The election of the Reich President on March 13, 1932, did not produce a clear result. A second ballot was held on April 10. In order to be able to run at all, Hitler was made a "Regierungsrat" in Braunschweig by party friends and thus automatically naturalized. An inter-factional election committee promotes Hindenburg as a semi-mythical leader. Hindenburg received 19.4 million votes (53%), Hitler 13.4 million (36.8%).
