Summary
Peter Lambeck was born in Hamburg and educated in Holland, France and Italy. He became the librarian of the Imperial library in Vienna and published a number of books, including the catalog of the library of Vienna as well as a history of the Byzantine Empire and a history of his native city of Hamburg. The Hamburg history was published in 2 volumes: the first issued in 1652 and this second volume of 1661.
