Biographical/Historical Information

According to a note included with the mezuzah, it adorned the doorpost at 50 Overlook Terrace, New York, NY 10033, apt. 4H. Since October of 1953, this was the apartment of Dr. Mark Wischnitzer (he died in October 1955) and his wife Rachel (1885-1989); their son Leonard J. Winchester removed the mezuzah on December 20, 1989.
