Yayoi Kusama (born 1929) worked in her native Japan as well as in France and in New York in a very far reaching array of media, including sculpture; installation; painting; performance; film; fashion; poetry; fiction; and other arts. Her styles may be described as Pop art; minimalism; feminist art; and environmental art.
